Debbie Schwartz Linn
Debbie Schwartz Linn spent most of her young life in California and worked with Sony Music in various capacities from 1994 through 2011, in both the New York and Nashville offices. She was senior director of strategic marketing and was responsible for developing branding, marketing plans and promotions for more than 20 artists, including Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert and Kellie Pickler, among others. Among the brand partnerships she coordinated were Kenny Chesney and JC Penney, Sara Evans and Libby’s, Maytag and Johnson & Johnson; Jake Owen and Lucky Jeans; Miranda Lambert and Vanity Clothing, the Country Strong movie and soundtrack with Pepsi and Arby’s; as well as many others. She has been active on the board of St. Jude Country Cares for a number of years and is the chair of Music Makes Us. She and her husband, Stephen Linn, have twin sixth grade daughters, Cambria and Rachel.

A Georgia native, Judi Turner received a degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. She began writing a free-lance column on country music which eventually led her to move to Nashville, where she joined the staff of the Country Music Association. She spent three years as administrative assistant to Executive Director Jo Walker-Meador before being upped to director of public information. After three years, Judi joined the staff of Network Ink Public Relations as the responsible publicist for the Marlboro Music Tour, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ricky Skaggs, Mike Reid, New Grass Revival and others. She started her own independent PR firm, Turner & Company, in 1992, representing such artists as Bill Gaither, Rodney Crowell, Lonestar, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Shenandoah, Collin Raye, the RCA Label Group and the CMA Awards. From 2006-2011, Judi was a writer at the Country Music Hall of Fame. She co-wrote Bill Carter’s memoirs, Get Carter: Backstage in History from JFK’s Assassination to the Rolling Stones, scripted the PBS special, The Johnny Cash Music Festival, and edited and wrote the magazines, Celebrate Nashville! and Sports and Entertainment Nashville. A long-time member of the board of SOURCE and the SOURCE Awards committee, Judi is a 1996 alumnus of Leadership Music and was involved with the organization in a volunteer capacity for many years before joining the staff in August, 2012.
Also a Georgia native, Josh Sumrall joined the Leadership Music staff in May, 2015. Josh received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Music Business from Belmont University in 2010 and followed that with a MBA from Lipscomb University in 2012. Prior to joining Leadership Music, Josh served as Director of Audio/Visual Ministries at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Williamson, GA.
