Leadership Music Elects New Officers and Directors
BRIDGESTONE ARENA/NASHVILLE PREDATORS’ DAVID KELLS NAMED PRESIDENT
OF THE LEADERSHIP MUSIC BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR 2021-2022
Nashville, TN (8-23-2021) – David Kells of the Bridgestone Arena/Nashville Predators will lead the Leadership Music board as newly-elected president, it was announced today. Leadership Music, a national educational non-profit organization, is based in Nashville. Kells, a member of the LM Class of 2014, is executive vice president, entertainment and venues, Bridgestone Arena/Nashville Predators.
Officers joining Kells are President-Elect Debbie Carroll of MusiCares; Past President Diane Pearson, City National Bank; Secretary Erick Long; and FBMM’s David Boyer, Treasurer. Also joining the Executive Committee are songwriter Stacy Widelitz, Marghie Evans of Do Write Music, Andrew Kautz of Big Machine Label Group and artist manager and podcast producer, Kelli Haywood.
Leadership Music has also appointed five new board members: Andrew Kautz returns to the board and is joined by Brad Bissell of CAA, music producer Scott Gerow, artist/producer Phil Hughley, and Jackie Patillo of the Gospel Music Association.
Will Cheek of Waller Law and Lynn Morrow of Adams & Reese serve as legal counsel.
LM Executive Director, Debbie Linn, remarked that as the organization continues to chart a path through unchartered waters, having David Kells lead the board at this time is particularly noteworthy. “Because of David’s position at Bridgestone Arena and the Nashville Predators, he is up-to-the-minute on everything that is happening with the virus, the CDC mandates and all Covid protocols.
“I could not be any prouder of this board,” she continued. “They always provide exceptional leadership, support and vision for the organization, but their guidance and steady hand over the past 18 months has assured that Leadership Music has continued to thrive and prosper during this very trying time.”
